Replacing Your Subaru Side Mirror

When you have your replacement side mirror ready, it’s time to install it on your Subaru. To do this, take the following steps:
- Open the door with the damaged side mirror.
- Remove the triangular trim piece on the inside of the door, directly opposite to the mirror.
- Remove the interior door handle trim piece.
- Remove the interior door grab handle trim piece.
- There are two screws: one holding the door handle in place, and the other one holding the door grab handle in place. Remove them both.
- Remove the interior door panel. You'll need to disconnect all the wiring from the window switches, etc. , before fully removing the panel.
- Disconnect all the connectors from the side mirror, if there are any.
- Remove the plastic screw cover opposite to the side mirror.
- Remove all the bolts holding the side mirror in place.
- Remove the side mirror assembly from the door.
- Put the weather guard on the new side mirror assembly.
- Install the new side mirror assembly in the reverse order of removal.
